From The Director

March 13, 2020

We are living in very uncertain times right now. I want to convey that should you have any questions regarding appropriate child care practices during this pandemic, 4Cs will be here to answer questions and to help in any way that we can. We are currently following the Iowa Department of Public Health guidelines and will not cease operations in our administrative offices OR at Home Ties Child Care Center. We WILL, however, be postponing any 4Cs training classes until at least April 10, in following suit with Kirkwood Community College, where most of our trainings are held. These classes will be re-scheduled. If you have already paid, it will be applied to the re-scheduled class or credited for a future class, should you be unable to attend a re-scheduled class.

At our administrative offices, we will continue fingerprinting with extra precautions in place to protect both our employees and any staff you should send in. At 4Cs, we are promoting common sense safety measures: wash your hands for at least 20 seconds, cover your coughs and sneezes and stay home if you are feeling unwell.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation, as we know things are changing moment to moment, and convey what we can to you- our partners. Again, do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you have. We will get through this, together.

Sincerely,
Missie Forbes

4Cs Executive Director
