Missie Forbes, Executive Director
Born and raised in Iowa City, Missie has years of experience in non-profit work and has a passion for making Iowa City the best place in the world to live. She is a University of Iowa alumni and is honored to lead the 4Cs Team in Johnson County and Washington County.

Michele Fink Shaffer, Education & Training Coordinator
As Education & Training Coordinator, Michele works with child care providers who work in child development homes, child care centers, preschools and before-and-after school programs to meet their professional development requirements. She mentors providers who are working on obtaining their CDA credentials and other professional achievements. Establishing & maintaining partnership relationships with other local educational institutions & agencies is key to her responsibilities. Michele serves providers in Johnson and Washington counties.

Traci and Elisha support home-based programs that participate in the Child and Adult Food Program, which reimburses programs for serving nutritious meals.

Our center coordinator is responsible for the overall functioning of 4Cs Home Ties. Michele provides support to the families participating in the program, leadership to the staff and ensures that the program meets all state licensing requirements.
