Missie Forbes

Executive Director

Missie is a strong advocate for all things childcare, recognizing that short and long-term solutions are needed to ensure ALL children have access to quality and affordable childcare. She serves on the Johnson County Childcare Solutions Team to address these issues and finds other ways to address gaps in service and barriers to success for anyone interested in the field of early childhood education.

Allison Bettine

Director of Childcare Workforce Development

Allison oversees the Childcare Workforce Development Program. She works with our consultants to identify ways in which we can support the childcare workforce–through creating networking opportunities, developing best business practices for programs to enusre success, and developing additional training opportunites to support the work.

Elisha Hamm

Food Program Administrator

Elisha supports home-based childcare programs that participate in the Child and Adult Food Program, which reimburses programs for serving nutritious meals.

Administrative Assistant

Terrie supports daily office activities, facilitates our Crisis Care program, and is responsible for fingerprinting for area childcare providers.

Michelle Fink Shaffer

Home Ties Director

As the center director. Michele is responsible for the overall functioning of Home Ties. Michele provides support to the families participating in the program, leadership to the staff, and ensures that the program meets all state licensing requirements.
